4.     Duvoisin, Roger, MD and Sage, Jacob, MD.  Parkinson’s Disease: A Guide for Patient and Family.  Philadelphia: Lippincott-Raven, 1996.  4th edition. 
An excellent reference book on Parkinson’s – thorough information on fundamental pathology, symptoms, disease progression, and treatment.

 

5.     Lieberman, Abraham, MD.  Shaking Up Parkinson’s Disease.  Jones & Bartlett Publishers, 2001.
Dr. Lieberman, the national medical director of the National Parkinson Foundation, has written a sympathetic book aimed at answering the questions posed by patients and families dealing with the disease.

 

6.     Weiner, William J., MD; Shulman, Lisa M., MD; and Lang, Anthony E, MD.  Parkinson’s Disease: A Complete Guide for Patients and Families.  Johns Hopkins Press, 2001.
Serves as a resource for coping with and understanding the medical and psychological implications of Parkinson's disease.  Dr. William Weiner offers a comprehensive overview of the disease's progression and symptoms.  Leading authorities provide an ample guide for those diagnosed with Parkinson's, along with the latest research and prognosis for changes.
