Inflammation is well recognized as a key feature to the changes in the brain that occur in multiple sclerosis. Researchers at IND are developing imaging ligands to better understand the changes occurring in the brain in multiple sclerosis, including a ligand to detect neuroinflammation. Developing a marker that indentifies neuroinflammation provides an important tool to evaluate the effectiveness of medications in multiples sclerosis. |
